The global pioneer of cruising, P&O has operated cruise ships from Australia since 1932, when the 23,000-ton liner Strathaird sailed on a five-night round trip from Sydney to Norfolk Island. More than 70 years later, P&O Cruises Australia’s fleet and itineraries have expanded considerably. The company now offers Australians the choice of three cruise ships sailing from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Fremantle and Adelaide, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand to approximately 40 destinations in Australasia and the South Pacific. Pacific Dawn: 69,845 tons, 1,910 passengers, based in Sydney and Brisbane from Oct 2009 – offering Australians the largest and most modern cruise liner ever based year-round in Australia 
Pacific Pearl: 63,500 tons, 1,856 passengers, joining P&O Cruises Australia in 2010. Based in Sydney and offers cruises to Pacific/South Pacific..
